Rated 5 out of 5 by from All three of my dogs liked this food! Ive been giving them small handfuls as treats when they come inside, since they all have specific dietary needs and cant switch to just this food. Obviously my dogs all range in size and theyre all equally excited about it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Since using taste of the wild ancient mountain canine recipe roasted lamb I've notice my dog's coat has become so much soft and he has had more energy. He has been able to really play more and enjoy time with the family. I have been completely impressed with the noticeable difference and really can't say enough positive things about taste of the wild. I have recommended so many times and will continue to recommend because the quality is amazing and the fact that it's made with the best quality ingredients that I can feel confident about giving my best friend

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I have two dogs-a kane korso and a dachshund. They are both pretty picky eaters, so I didnt really expect them to go for a new food. They seemed pretty skeptical at first and it took them a little bit to try it. I dont think they absolutely hate it, but I dont know that it was their favorite either. I like the thought of good nutrition. Maybe I will try a different flavor with them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I mean its hard to judge since any time my dog eats she eats like shes been starving for days, so i guess its safe to say she likes it! lol she ate it but i did realize it (obviously, its in the name) had grains in it (ancient grains) and shes been grain free her whole life.... so not sure how i feel about that personally but she seemed to be okay with it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My dog had stopped eating her normal food around the time we got this. We mixed a little of this in with her old food and she immediately took to it. She was so excited for her meals again. I love the natural ingredients in it and the smell of the food is better and less factoryy haha. I received this product free for testing purposes from Influenster.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I typically feed my dog Taste Of The Wild's normal formulas. Unfortunately, this really upset my dog's stomach and he got horrible diarrhea. I mixed it in slowly to his food as to not overwhelm his system, but it was just not working for him. My dog is a 2 year old, 90 lb Australian Shepherd/Chesapeake Bay Retriever mix.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My dog seemed to really enjoy the flavor. He also loved having it in his treat ball dispenser!! The lamb formula was perfect for his digestion too. Hes known to stink up a room with some dog food and we didnt have this unpleasant side effect. Will definitely Ive purchasing this food for our furry child going forward.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My dog seemed to like the food. She isnt picky but she will sometimes let new food sit all day before trying it. She wanted to try this right away, probably curiosity. It had an okay smell for dog food. She ate the second bag really quickly, I would definitely consider switching md trying the other flavors.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Be Cautious .... First I want to point out that my 9 year old Lab has been eating TOTW since he was 1yr old, so for 8 years it has been his only diet. My dog has NEVER had any health issues, and has always had solid stools. So I try the “Ancient Grains” formula for the first time, sorry to say that my dog as had diarrhea for the past 2 days, coincidentally it was 2 days ago since switching to the Ancient Grains formula. In hindsight I should have just kept him in the regular TOTW formula. I am assuming the “new” formula has ingredients which the old formula does not. Whatever it is the “ancient grains” did NOT agree with my dog at all. I am highly disappointed and I wish I could exchange the new formula for the old. I guess the old saying is true “if it ain’t broken don’t fix it”. I wish I could post a positive review, unfortunately I cannot !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I had got this dog food for free from Influencer to let my dogs try it out. Taste of The Wild Sierra Mountain Canine Formula with Roasted Lamb My dogs loved it. I have 3 dogs so mixed it in with their dog food and they picked out this dog food and ate it all and left behind their old dog food. I will have to buy some more for them. They were so excited when I opened the 2nd bag for them. I would definitely recommend this dog food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am pleasantly surprised at how much my dog enjoys Taste of the Wild- Roasted Lamb. She normally doesnt like trying new foods and is very picky but not when it comes to taste of the wild. I enjoy how the dry food doesnt have a harsh smell to it like others do. I would definitely consider switching to this food full time for my dog to enjoy! I received this product complimentary for testing purposes. My opinions are my own.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We've been a fan of Taste of the Wild for quite some time now. We have high-energy catahoula leopard dogs and this brand has been the best for their energy, coat and overall health. They are short hair dogs who shed slightly year round. After switching to TOTW their coats have been very shiny and their skin is less dry. We love the ingredients and they love the flavor. The complimentary lamb flavor was a huge hit!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I received a sample of this complimentary from Influenster and as suggested on it, i gradually introduced it to my puppy. He absolutely loved it! He was being fussy about his earlier dog food and when i mixed it with this food he gobbled it down. I would love to buy this product from him although it is slightly on the pricey side. My pup has a sensitive tummy but he did not show any side effects from eating this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Chloe has a full bull of her regular dry dog food, and it was untouched. Well, my boyfriend and I put down the Taste of the Wild dry food down, next to her untouched bowl, and she gobbled up the Taste of the Wild with roasted lamb! There wasnt a spec of food left. Needless to say, she preferred the Taste of the Wild over her usual brand. Thank you Influencer for Chloes free bag for our honest opinion!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I took cute posed pictures of our dogs with the #Influenster box... then got home to find they dug in while we were gone, and ate EVERY SINGLE BITE. While I wasnt there for the eating part, it is FOR SURE a win from our dog family! It also didnt bother two of my dogs sensitive stomachs, which is a MAJOR plus. Rated 5 out of 5 by from I received this box for free from Influenster and let me just say... my doggy LOVED it! Rated 4 out of 5 by from My dog loved this new food. We have never tried the brand before, but he ate it so fast and wanted more! It gave him a little bit of an upset stomach later in the day, but it may be because he had never tried it before. I would definitely recommend this for pet owners, but would say to keep the food consistent!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My dog absolutely loved this food and I'm glad because he can get picky at times ! I think I will be buying more because once the first bag finished he would come to me and give me a look once I would pour more on his plate, he would start eating it. I would definitely recommend this food brand to dog owners !

please advise as to any action you are taking regarding the "grain free" issue with dog foods....understand that this is not the best feed for dogs....please advise

Asked by: barbara
Hello, Barbara and thank you for reaching out to us directly. Please know our Ancient Mountain Canine Recipe with Roasted Lamb is not grain-free as it includes ancient grains, such as grain sorghum, millet, quinoa and chia seed, which are naturally high in fiber and rich in protein. In addition to our grain-inclusive lamb recipe, we offer a grain-free lamb recipe, called Sierra Mountain Canine Recipe. It's important to note, that to date, the FDA still has not found any science-based causes to link grain-free diets — including Taste of the Wild — to DCM. As they note, it is a complex issue with numerous factors to consider, such as breeds that have a genetic predisposition for developing DCM. We continue to monitor this issue closely and support ongoing research efforts, because our top priority is, and always will be, to provide pets with quality, safe food that meets all federal and state regulatory guidelines. If you have any further questions, please visit our FAQ page at https://www.tasteofthewildpetfood.com/view-all-faqs/#dcm.

What TOW K9 dry food would be best for a nearly 12 yr old GSD retiring Military Working Dog with chronic kidney disease. She has been on Hill's Science Diet K/D for years. A vet told me she would need to be on a lower protein diet.

Asked by: Janet
Hello, Janet! First off, our hats are off to your military dog, we love and appreciate the work they do! We’re sorry to hear about your dog’s diagnosis of chronic kidney disease. TOTW does not have any protein restricted formulas for this condition. Please know, while diet cannot cure kidney disease, specially formulated renal diets have been proven to help dogs with renal disease feel better and potentially live longer. We recommend you speak with your veterinarian about the best nutritional options for your dog.
