Rated 2 out of 5 by from Be Cautious .... First I want to point out that my 9 year old Lab has been eating TOTW since he was 1yr old, so for 8 years it has been his only diet. My dog has NEVER had any health issues, and has always had solid stools. So I try the “Ancient Grains” formula for the first time, sorry to say that my dog as had diarrhea for the past 2 days, coincidentally it was 2 days ago since switching to the Ancient Grains formula. In hindsight I should have just kept him in the regular TOTW formula. I am assuming the “new” formula has ingredients which the old formula does not. Whatever it is the “ancient grains” did NOT agree with my dog at all. I am highly disappointed and I wish I could exchange the new formula for the old. I guess the old saying is true “if it ain’t broken don’t fix it”. I wish I could post a positive review, unfortunately I cannot !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I had got this dog food for free from Influencer to let my dogs try it out. Taste of The Wild Sierra Mountain Canine Formula with Roasted Lamb My dogs loved it. I have 3 dogs so mixed it in with their dog food and they picked out this dog food and ate it all and left behind their old dog food. I will have to buy some more for them. They were so excited when I opened the 2nd bag for them. I would definitely recommend this dog food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am pleasantly surprised at how much my dog enjoys Taste of the Wild- Roasted Lamb. She normally doesnt like trying new foods and is very picky but not when it comes to taste of the wild. I enjoy how the dry food doesnt have a harsh smell to it like others do. I would definitely consider switching to this food full time for my dog to enjoy! I received this product complimentary for testing purposes. My opinions are my own.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We've been a fan of Taste of the Wild for quite some time now. We have high-energy catahoula leopard dogs and this brand has been the best for their energy, coat and overall health. They are short hair dogs who shed slightly year round. After switching to TOTW their coats have been very shiny and their skin is less dry. We love the ingredients and they love the flavor. The complimentary lamb flavor was a huge hit!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I received a sample of this complimentary from Influenster and as suggested on it, i gradually introduced it to my puppy. He absolutely loved it! He was being fussy about his earlier dog food and when i mixed it with this food he gobbled it down. I would love to buy this product from him although it is slightly on the pricey side. My pup has a sensitive tummy but he did not show any side effects from eating this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Chloe has a full bull of her regular dry dog food, and it was untouched. Well, my boyfriend and I put down the Taste of the Wild dry food down, next to her untouched bowl, and she gobbled up the Taste of the Wild with roasted lamb! There wasnt a spec of food left. Needless to say, she preferred the Taste of the Wild over her usual brand. Thank you Influencer for Chloes free bag for our honest opinion!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love knowing our pup is fueled for adventure! We have been feeding TotW to Conrad since he was 3 months old. He’s now 4.5 months & he still loves it! I love knowing that Conrad is properly fueled for all of his hiking adventures. I also set aside 1/2-3/4c of food for training treats throughout the day! TotW also came highly recommend from both my Dad & Fiancé’s Best Friend - both of whom have been feeding it to their pets for many years!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I took cute posed pictures of our dogs with the #Influenster box... then got home to find they dug in while we were gone, and ate EVERY SINGLE BITE. While I wasnt there for the eating part, it is FOR SURE a win from our dog family! It also didnt bother two of my dogs sensitive stomachs, which is a MAJOR plus. Rated 5 out of 5 by from My two dogs love this! I recently switched my two dogs (10 month old female Lab & 3 month old male bully mix) to Taste of the Wild due to it being in stores and easier to obtain. I was iffy at first, I always am with switching brands but my dogs LOVE this. My bully mix isn't itchy anymore and my Lab goes crazy for feeding time. This will be my recommendation to everyone

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I received this box for free from Influenster and let me just say... my doggy LOVED it! He has really bad anxiety and that makes it hard for him to eat, but I swear he gobbled this up so fast!!!! I almost cried I was so happy seeing him not struggle to eat. Very impressed with this :) definitely going to be buying some.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall good My dog has allergies, took me almost 2 weeks to find a kibble that didn’t have anything she was allergic to. This specific kibble is honestly the only food I’ve found that she’s not. She’s eaten it for about a year now and all her problems have gone away. She’s gained happy weight that was needed and is very energetic.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My dog loved this new food. We have never tried the brand before, but he ate it so fast and wanted more! It gave him a little bit of an upset stomach later in the day, but it may be because he had never tried it before. I would definitely recommend this for pet owners, but would say to keep the food consistent!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Maisel was so stoked to try the Taste Of the Wild Roasted Lamb dog food. While I cant speak for her, I know that she went back and licked the bowl, something Ive never seen her do! I would recommend this food, especially in place of a chicken food that is filled with fillers. My dog thought it was pawsome!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My dog loved this dry dog food. When he smelled it, he instantly got excited. It did not give his stomach any problems but it did seem to give him gas. I had to introduce it slowly with him so I will be purchasing some to continue to feed him to see if the gas resolves. I love the ingredients in this food

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My dog is used to eating chicken Beneful and she takes forever to get around to eating her food. However with the roasted lamb flavor of the Ancient Mountain Canine Recipe, by the time I finished pouring the product inside her bowl, she was halfway done with it. Im gonna go ahead and assume she liked it.

What is the basis for or against grains in dog food? And Do you have a small bite recipe for for my Havanese with a poor bite?

Asked by: Marie
Hello, and thanks for reaching out! Grain-free diets are great options for dogs that have allergies/sensitivities to grains. Because every dog is different and has varying tastes and nutritional needs which is why we’ve created Ancient Grains recipes that reflect our classic Taste of the Wild flavors. Ancient grains — including grain sorghum, millet, quinoa and chia seed are high in protein, and have been trusted sources of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and omega fatty acids which support strong, healthy dogs at all life stages. Taste of the Wild Appalachian Valley Small Breed Canine Recipe is specifically formulated for small breed dogs. This grain-free recipe features smaller kibble, making it easier for your dog to chew and digest. This recipe is also more energy-dense, meaning it has higher levels of protein and fat so small breed dogs can eat smaller amounts and still meet their nutritional needs. While our Ancient Mountain Canine Recipe was not specifically formulated for small breed dogs, our kibbles were created with dogs of all sizes in mind. If you have any additional questions or would like a personalized recipe recommendation for your Havanese, please contact us at https://www.tasteofthewildpetfood.com/contact-us. Additionally, we recommend consulting with your veterinarian to determine the best diet for your dog, based on their needs.

My Golden Retriever has sensitive skin and I am looking for something that would be good for that. Do you make anything for that?

Asked by: Amber
Hello, thanks for contacting us. While we do not have any recipes formulated specifically for dogs with sensitive skin, you may consider recipes that have limited protein sources such as our Ancient Mountain and Ancient Stream canine recipes. We also offer our Sierra Mountain and Pacific Stream canine recipes, which are grain-free formulations with similar protein profiles to our Ancient Grains recipes. Omega fatty acids are included in these recipes to help promote healthy skin and coat. We recommend consulting with your veterinarian to determine the cause of your Golden Retriever’s sensitive skin and the best diet for them based on their needs.

Asked by: Marcia
Hello, and thanks for reaching out! Please know, we do not have any recipes specifically designed for weight loss. As a general guideline, we recommend feeding 10-20% less than the amounts listed in the feeding guide for each recipe. I read the ingredients thoroughly but I still need reassurance. I know taste of the wild does use peas for some formulas. This lamb formula does not contain any peas at all correct?

Asked by: Curious George
Hello, thanks for contacting us. Peas are not an ingredient used in our Ancient Mountain Canine Recipe; however, our recipes are produced in a facility that manufactures products with peas, so while it’s unlikely, there may be trace amounts of peas found in this recipe.
