Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Picky Husky is in LOVE! My Husky has a food allergy to Chicken so she has limited options in most pet foods. But she is also picky and if she has one flavor for too long she gets bored and won't eat it. Taste of the Wild is the perfect way to give her tons of options and keep her food interesting without the struggle of getting something without chicken. She loves all of the Ancient Grain Recipes but the Bison and Venison is her FAVORITE

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Name is Misleading I always fed my dogs TOW grain-free, then when studies showed a diet with grains may be better I was glad to see TOW developed a product with quality grains. I made the switch and dogs love it. I took off 1 star because the bag says Bison & Venison. A better name might be Buffalo and Bacon because the main ingredients are Buffalo and Pork. Bison and Venison are way down the list as the 8th and 9th ingredient.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well my pets certainly went crazy over this food. Both dogs ate it as soon as it hit the bowl which doesnt always happen. Even the cat tried to get a nibble, much to my dogs dislike! I like the ingredients in the food, though I have heard about some negative affects of this type of food for dogs. Research is inconclusive though, so its hard to say. The price is about the same as other high end dog food brands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2 Finicky Dogs live it 1 of my dogs has difficulty beginning to eat due to diabetes. He almost needs to be enticed to eat, and he has to eat before I can give him insulin so very important to have a food that will attract him. This brand and flavor is his favorite. My other dog was a rescue from a home where she was left in her crate for over a week. She can be very picky about food. Again this flavor/brand combo is her favorite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lucy was very excited to get to try this food courtesy of Influenster. I was wondering how I would be able to judge how much she liked the food, but I can tell you she absolutely loved it and from looking at the bag it seems like a great food with quality ingredients. She seemed interested in the bag even before I opened it. I gave her a small amount in her bowl to try to see how much she likes it. She ate it pretty quickly. I put the opened bag and the unopened bag up on the kitchen table. The following day I came home from work and noticed she had something in her mouth. When I tried to grab it from her she ran all over the house and wouldn't give it to me. When I finally was able to grab it from her I realized she was carrying around an empty food bag. She had opened the second bag of food herself and eaten it all!! Now if that isn't a five star review I don't know what is!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our German Shepherds love Taste of the wild we have an 3 year old female who is very picky about what she eats, our 12 year old male has skin problems he scratches all his hair off his back because of allergy's I changed his food from those with grains to Taste of the wild his hair is growing back & he is not scratching all the time. It does not cost more to feed G. Shepherds once they get used to it & a lot less poo (and it doesn't stink!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Both of my Aussies love it! I mixed a small portion in with their regular food, and both of them picked out the Taste of the Wild pieces and scarfed them down. They can be picky eaters, but they love this food. I would recommend this to pet owners who are looking for a natural alternative to over-processed pet foods. Rated 4 out of 5 by from My dog absolutely loved this! Were big believers in grain in my house so I was pretty excited to try this out. We started just giving as treats and worked our way into eating the second bag by itself and my dog, Sid absolutely loved it. He usually eats purina but Id definitely consider switching to this. The only thing I didnt like about it is that it smells absolutely terrible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our dog 40lb Pit Bull/Australian Shepherd didn't take to it well, even when mixing with her normal food in small portions, but she is a fairly picky eater. So, we decided to try it out as treats for our 10 week old mini potbelly and kunekune big and he absolutely love it. It's funny because only then did our dog even try to eat it. Now both animals love it but only as treats.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pickie Annie My Cocker Spaniel Annie has got to be the pickiest dog that I have ever fed. I find smaller breeds to tend to be more difficult. She is still hard to feed, but this has been the 1 food I have even see her put her face too without adding deli or cooked food to entice her. Thank you, Thank you and another Thank you. There is still hope for her yet thanks to Taste of the Wild...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All 3 of my dogs love this food. My 2 boys arent picky at all but my female dog gets bored easily and will just stop eating at random. But not with this food! We did switch up to the lamb formula and she stopped eating it within a week, switched back to this and shes eating again. For me, I love it because if the high quality ingredients and its a good price for the quality!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It was a good product. A little dry, not really my taste although my dog seemed to enjoy it. She'll eat just about anything so that's not the best indicator. I'm not sure how to tell if this made a difference. I don't feel like the sample was enough to be able to tell. It didn't spoil her and make her stop eating her usual food so I don't know that it wowed her too much.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from My pups enjoyed this food! I have a border collie pup and a heeler mix pup. They liked the taste a lot. I dont recommend feeding this food though, because they dont do feeding trials through AAFCO. I work at a vet clinic and Ive seen this food cause diarrhea multiple times and crystals and stones in urine. It was nice to treat my pups, but I wouldnt feed this as a staple.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pack of 7, including 14 year old, loves the food! We’ve been feeding taste of the wild to our pack of 7 for years. They are active and the formulas taste of the wild makes provides the perfect nutrition to build their muscle mass. Our oldest is 14 and loves the food and still has a muscular build and energy. I credit the food for contributing significantly. Attached is a photo of the leader of the pack, our 14 year old.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my 2 husky kids I put a lot of thought and care into finding the best diet for my husky brothers. Taste of the Wild has awesome ingredients and they love the taste (they eat like it’s dessert). It’s super great knowing that my babies don’t have a bunch of fillers and junk in their food, and they’re getting enough protein and balance in every meal. Kenai and Pluto recommend this 10/10

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My dogs are absolutely obsessed with this food! I use the pebbles as treats, and they love them! I tried to take a picture of the bag, and my dog Annie totally photo bombed it because she wanted to sniff it! Our other dog Max followed shortly thereafter and spent the next five minutes sniffing around the table to see if I had dropped any extra treats. They love them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Robust Energy My Sam loves his Taste of the Wild - he like all the recipes, but especially loves the Ancient Prairie Canine with Roasted Bison & Roasted Venison. He knows when I come home with a new bag and gets very excited. His energy level and body weight are right where they should be and I attribute that to his food. He's a healthy and happy dog because he eats only the best!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from In reality, its difficult to review a dog food based off of the sample I received courtesy of Influenster because the dog hasnt had a real chance to operate while using the food as fuel consistently enough to notice a difference. However, my two pups have very much enjoyed their kibble and had no qualms about eating this mix. They definitely like the flavor!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My 2 boys LOVED this!!! I put it in their bowls and they devoured it. They usually take their time eating, so I could tell they really liked it. Afterwards, I did do some research and realized how pricey it is for a 28 pound bag. We have a large family so spending that much wouldnt be feasible. If you are able to Id highly recommend you try it for your pups!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My German Shepherd was already a Taste of the Wild dog, but he really enjoyed trying this new blend. I thought he wouldnt be too interested since he already eats Taste of the Wild, but he couldnt wait for me to open it and then he ate it all up. Hes a very active dog and Taste of the Wild gives him the energy he needs without any of the stuff he doesnt need.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They love it dry! We switched to Taste of the Wild 6 months ago in part, to help our 7 yr old boxer with his epi seizures. We felt it was a healthier choice and both dogs enjoy it so much they devour it dry. Jaxx has not had any seizures since February 6 and I do give credit to the food choice. I think it’s a great product and wish I could get more varieties through Amazon,.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My dog absolutely loved this food, and I loved that it contained healthy, high quality ingredients. We ended up switching to Taste of the Wild because it is an extremely high quality food for a reasonable price. Our dog is healthy, his coat looks shiny and beautiful, and he has lots of energy. Very happy with this new Taste of the Wild Ancient Grains line.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My 1.5 year old border collie absolutely loves this food and it gives her so much energy. However, I hesitate to feed this to her for a long period of time because the protein levels are too high for a dog of her size and activity level. If she was a working dog or an agility dog I would, or this would be perfect for an overweight dog for weight control.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My baby freakin loved this food, ate the whole bowl in a couple minutes. Obsessed with this brand. 10/10 will always recommend to other pit bull owners. Makes their coat shiny, gives them all the right nutrients and really bulks them up in the right way. Any recipe is worth a try tbh. Ancient Prairie Canine Recipe with Roasted Bison & Roasted Venison

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only the best for our pet! We adopted our pet in September '22 and have only fed him Taste of the Wild. I researched dog foods throughly before we got him and hands down Taste of the Wild met all of our requirements. He has tried every variety and loves them all. We feed him 3x's a day a mixture of the dry and canned with a bit of warm water. I highly recommend this brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have a very picky with the brands of kibble he actually eats, so I was sure he was going to smell this and then walk away. I was wrong. He ate it right up and seemed excited when I opened the next bag. I also started by looking at the ingredients and the first one is buffalo. They claim to be 32% protein, which is perfect for a dog like mine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My 5yo Goldendoodle Daisy LOVED this recipe! Shes a big fan of any type of food but with this food she was a little hesitant at first (just because weve fed her the same food forever) but as soon as she tasted it she chowed down HARD! Were big fans. #complimentary #WildForAncientGrains #TOTWAncientGrains [user:TasteoftheWild] influenster I.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from My dog Zoey really enjoyed this dog food. She ate both bags as soon as they hit her bowl. Im not too happy that the first ingredient is buffalo, pork and chicken meal. We buy her Beneful from Walmart and the first ingredient is beef or chicken, not beef or chicken meal. For that reason I would not continue to buy this brand of dog food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our German Shepherd is thriving! Our German Shepherd has been on this kibble for the last 7 years. She recently seemed to lose interest in her food & we had a hard time stimulating her appetite. I got the idea to mix in a little of the canned version of this brand & suddenly she loves her meals again. She is now 10 years old & super healthy with lots of happy energy!

Hi what is the calcium and phosphorus % and why is it not listed in the general analysis? Calcium is important in large breed puppies, too much calcium can cause rapid bone growth.

Asked by: Bethany
Hello, and thanks for reaching out. Our Ancient Prairie Canine Recipe contains 1.2% calcium and 1.0% phosphorus, both on an as-fed basis. Please know, by AAFCO regulations, the guaranteed analysis is only required to list four nutrients: crude protein, crude fat, crude fiber and moisture, which is why our calcium and phosphorus levels are not listed. I have 2 mixed breeds, 60 lbs each. One has a sensitive stomach. What dog food would be the best for them?

Asked by: Mom to 4
Hello, and thanks for reaching out. While we do not have any recipes formulated specifically for dogs with sensitive stomachs, you may consider trying our limited ingredient diet, Taste of the Wild PREY. Our PREY formulas can be great options for pets with sensitivities due to their limited ingredients. Each formula contains no more than four key ingredients (one animal protein source, sunflower oil, tomato pomace and lentils). We also recommend consulting with your veterinarian to determine the best diet for your dogs, based on their needs.

My goldendoodle is highly allergic to poultry, fish, diary and peanut butter. I currently have him on the ancient grain venison and bison. However I see it has chicken meal and chicken fat. Do you have any product that does NOT contain chicken products?

Asked by: Beans
Hello, thanks for contacting us. Our Ancient Mountain Canine Recipe does not contain chicken as a main protein source. It does include a natural flavor derived from chicken. The natural flavor is added in an amount that is not likely to trigger allergies in pets.
