Rated 5 out of 5 by from My dog absolutely loved this product! So much that I put it in the same bowl with the food he normally eats, and he ate around his orginal food & gobbled up every bite of this amazing dog food! My smaller dog completely nudged it and didn't even attempt to try it, so her loss! I definitely reccomend this to all pet owners, especially for dogs with a sensitive stomach. My dog normally throws up almost everything & he handled this food very well. So glad & thankful for Influenster & Taste of Wild for letting me try this 100% complementary!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glad we’re making the switch! It’s difficult to find quality dog food that are grain inclusive. So happy to have found this blend! My dogs are also digging around their old food and only eating this while we are trying to transition. I’m surprised that their stools are already firmer, especially while transitioning. My only caveat is that I like to feed wet food in the morning and there isn’t a grain inclusive salmon available. I also am concerned that the wet pacific stream has turkey in it. Hoping there will be an ancient stream wet that matches up to the dry in the near future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My dog went WILD for this stuff!! I got it in the mail #complementary as a voxbox. The minute I brought it inside he got a whiff and started going crazy for it! He doesnt normally get this excited for his normal food, it was like he was getting a treat but it was a healthy food instead. All of the ingredients are great and it comes with a lot of necessary vitamins your dog needs. Kodi didnt get sick either (as some dogs do when switching up foods). I would highly recommend trying this one out!! #WildForAncientGrains Ancient Stream Canine Recipe with Smoked Salmon

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Influenster was kind enough to send my pup, Molly, some Taste Of The Wild: Ancient Grains kibble to try for free! Miss Molly is a very picky pup so I wasnt sure how this was going to go down. But she LOVES this food!! Getting her to sit still for pics after she had a taste was tricky, she kept sniffing the bag! Molly has a very sensitive tummy so we will probably only use this kibble as treats as switching foods completely doesnt go well for her. But she adores this food! Thanks influenster and Taste of The Wild for making this doggies day!! #WildForAncientGrains

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Barley loves taste but I can’t stand his breath. I originally had Barley on the puppy grain free high prairie food then after his 1st year moved him to pacific steam grain free recipe. Once ancient grains stream was available I switched his food. I began to notice his breath was bad. I never thought it was his food since he had salmon food before this recipe. I honestly hate to have to discontinue giving him this food. When he licks himself he transfers that sticky breath smell plus I can’t have him near my face. I even spend so much money on different dental treats and new toothpaste but his breath still stinks. He didn’t have this issue with his previous diet. He has grown a great coat and has had no issues with his stool eating the grain free recipe from taste of the wild but I want him on a grain diet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Otis previously ate the grain-free version of this same food/flavor. Ironically, right before receiving this our vet recommended we not do grain-free because some common ingredients in such foods can be harsh on our Frenchies digestion. Anyway, this came just in time! Otis seems to enjoy it more than the previous food. One thing is we wish it had fewer ingredients, just to be more simple. We received this food sample free for testing. Id say it passed the test!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Option for Allergic Dogs One of my dogs is allergic to chicken and it's so hard to find food (with grains) that don't have chicken. Both dogs gobble this up and I haven't seen any adverse affects.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rufus won't eat anything else! I started using Canine Ancient Stream when my Belgian Malinois mix was a puppy as the Pacific Stream puppy formula is grain free and I wanted the ancient grains. I was able to do this because it is for ALL life stages and he loves it and has thrived on it! I have tried to find a comparable food that is a little less expensive but have have come to the conclusion that one does not exist!! people always comment on how shiny and soft his coat is and Rufus and I are very happy with Taste of the Wild Ancient Stream, canine formula!

I'd like to transition my dog to the smoked salmon ancient grain recipe. I am however concerned with the salt content since it is "smoked" salmon. Is there any information on if this food has a higher salt content than the other flavors?

Our standard poodle has been on the Taste of the Wild Pacific Salmon since birth. She is the healthiest and fastest dog at our 150 acre dog park. We need to add the smoked salmon as healthy as fresh?

Asked by: Patty
Hello, Patty and thank you for being a loyal TOTW customer! Our Ancient Stream Canine Recipe contains the same salmon ingredients as the grain-free recipe. As the number one ingredient in both formulas, salmon provides high-quality protein and omega fatty acids to support healthy skin and coat. If you decide to make the switch to a recipe with grains, remember to make a gradual transition over a period of 7-10 days. The Ancient grains Salmon doesn't say it is egg free but I don't see eggs in the ingredients list? Is it? Also is it ok for large/giant breed puppies vs the Pacific Stream puppy formula, or which would be better for a large/giant breed?

Hello, and thanks for reaching out! Our Pacific Stream Puppy and Ancient Stream Canine Recipes do not contain any egg product. Please know, our recipes are produced in a facility that manufactures products with other ingredients, such as eggs. While it is unlikely, a trace amount of eggs may be present.
