Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Puggle Loves it! Princess is 2 years old. She threw up on every food i bought for over a year. After numerous vet visits they found nothing wrong other than inflamed intestines. I decided to try this"limited ingredient" dog food after 3 months of her eating only boiled beef and rice. She has never thrown up or gotten sick since. It is perfect and it smells great. Her digestion is totally normal now. Thank you thank you .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Angus Beef Formula for Dogs Thank you for offering this alternative for dog's that have chicken allergies. I have been feeding Elite Sports Dog Food until they discontinued their grain free beef formula. After a thorough search, I found your food to try. What a huge relief that my dog is doing well on your food. I hope you will continue manufacturing this formula. With a little advertising, you could pick up some of the Elite Sports Dog consumers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have the most picky dogs known to mankind! My smaller breed Chiweenie and medium size Basenji got to taste the Prey Taste of the Wild Angus Beef dog food- i started out using the food as treats. To be honest i cannot keep my dogs out of the “treat closet” now, they love this stuff! I’m seriously considering switching this to their regular brand or continue using as treats! It’s everything you want for your dogs in a food- natural, limited ingredients, probiotics, and first ingredient being listed as beef! Try this! Your dogs won’t snub it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This food formula is serious! I have a Razors Edge Bully named Classic and a Rat Terrier Chubby. When I first got them Taste of the Wild it was the salmon flavor. Classic loved it immediately as his eyes were bulging out from the difference in quality from when he had blue buffalo. Once I heard of Taste of the Wild PREY I was impressed with less ingredients. When I gave them to my dogs they ate the food so fast, I asked if they wanted more and their eyes BEGGED for it. They ate 2 helpings instantly. Not only is it a better tasting food, but it's a healthy food. People compliment my dogs so much because of the way the Taste of the Wild brand has my dogs physique. I really enjoy watching my dogs be happy, and Taste of the wild and Taste of the Wild PREY is a huge reason why.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from OK the most important thing when choosing a dog food for my pup will be the ingredients first and foremost. When I really dig into the details of this formula I was pleasantly surprised, the quality is absolutely great. My dog loved it at first and was excited to get into the formula as treats before I started mixing it with her current food. I have not noticed any upset stomach or digestive imbalances when mixing 1/4 of the new food. I can see my doggie getting tired of it as she usually does with dry formula and I will be back to creatively dressing up her meals keep her interest. The price is about $15 more for a 30lb bag at my local petco, but the trade off is totally worth it. I definitely recommend this food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am so happy to have received my complimentary prey angus beef flavored dog food from taste of the wild especially because it only has 4 ingredients...beef, lentils, tomato pomace and sunflower oil. Did I mention it's also non gmo and grain free. My pups seemed to have loved it because they gobbled it up in seconds. This formula has probiotics and is supposed to help with doggy digestion as well. If you love your pups like me I surely recommend giving this brand a try. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome food for sensitivities! My 10-month old Pyrenees mix is doing wonderful on this food. She was eating one of the Taste of the Wild puppy formulas before and doing pretty well on that. I got a sample of this food at a doggie event we went to. Even with just a small amount mixed in with her old food, her stools improved drastically. Like, completely perfect. We've had a lot of digestive issues with her so this is big deal! Once her old formula ran out, I bought a bag of this to try. The difference has been amazing! Her stools are ideal every single time and her occasional foot/skin biting has stopped. She will eat anything, but seems to genuinely enjoy the taste. Definitely give this a try if you suspect any food sensitivities. My pup has improved so much since we've been staying away from grain and chicken ingredients. I just wish there was a middle-sized bag instead of only 8lbs or 25lbs!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excuse penny’s sleepy eyes, don’t let that fool you, she really loved this dog food! I can tell she enjoyed it because she didn’t HAVE to have a topping to eat it! Also, I LOVE that it’s grain free! Grain free is SUPER important! She is a 140lb Newfoundland prone to skin problems, so it’s always recommended by her vet that she HAS to eat grain free! I’m really excited to see how much this product is compared to blue buffalo. She won’t eat blue buffalo without a topping! Thanks for a great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is hands down my dogs favorite food, but most importantly my favorite. The quality of food is very high and according to Dog Advocate it has five starts in terms of health and quality. My dog is allergic to grains and needs a high protein diet and this is just perfect. She is a Pomeranian and has lost half her hair when we have tried other brands. This brand is essential for the health and coat of my dog and would not give her anything else. I’ve been giving her this brand for over 5 years.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from We’ve been trying to find a new food we love since our dog graduated from Puppy food. I’ve heard good things about this brand so wanted to give it a try. CoCo liked it which is saying something because she’s super picky but unfortunately, it seemed to give her a bit of the runs. It wasn’t...... unstoppable or anything so we tried to give it a few days to see if her system was just adjusting but it didn’t seem to get any better. To be fair, at 6lbs, she is tiny even by “small breed” standards so that could have been a factor. She also didn’t seem to have any discomfort or feel ill but the loose stool isn’t fun to clean up & definitely concerned me enough that it isn’t something I’d be comfortable using long term.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Never buying again I have been feeding my two dogs (One is a four year old pit bull / Boston terrier mix, the other is a pit bull) for quite a few months now. At first, this food was GREAT. Sounds a little strange but I noticed a huge difference in their feces. It was much more firm and they seemed to love the food! The past few times I have bought this, I could tell a difference in the food itself. When I bought the first bag that was different, it was maybe about a week before my dogs started both getting sick. Their feces was no longer solid and became diarrhea. They started becoming more lethargic. I thought maybe this was just a bad batch (I read some reviews about this food before I bought it and heard that happens). I went and bought another bag (mind you these are $50 bags). I had the first bag in a container that I usually keep the food in so it's easier to scoop out but hadn't thrown it away yet. After opening the second bag I noticed the food STILL looked off (the same as the previous bag) but thought maybe they just change the way they processed it. I kept the second bag just in case. I started feeding my dogs this second bag and after another week of things not getting better I finally contacted support. They offered me a refund (which they are supposed to be shipping out today which it's now been over a week since the complaint). I have now bought a THIRD and FOURTH bag (one small and one big) of this food from a different pet store hoping that they would have the original stuff I bought and got home and opened the bag and it's still the same bad food I've gotten the past two bags. I don't know what is going on but I am now out $170 on food that has made my dogs sick all because I was trying to give them a chance that this bad food was a fluke. I am very disappointed as I read on a lot of different sites that this food was amazing. I would love to go back to this food if they changed it back to the old stuff I was buying a few months ago, but as of right now I will not waste any more money on this bad food that they have been selling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great food! Our dogs seem to like it. I’m a fan of the guaranteed analysis and limited ingredient profile. Our female has been eating the original taste of the wild, but We had to switch our male to a limited Ingredient dog food as he was having bloody diarrhea. He had been doing well on the new food for the past 2 years, but when this came out I decided to try it and switch both dogs to the same food. Neither had a difficult transition and both are tolerating it well. My only complaint is the limited availability. It’s a little hard to find in stores and not near as convenient as autoshipping, which we had been using through Amazon with the previous foods. Would love to see this at more places and with an auto ship option!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My Yorkie loves it. They are just the right size and he kept looking for more of it. It didn't upset his stomach. It didn't have a strong smell as some dog foods have.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not sure about this formula My German Boxer has an allergy, he itches and chews that bottom of his feet. We thought it was the sweet and regular potato in his TOTW High Prairie w/ roasted Bison and Venison, so we changed his to the TOTW Prey Angus Beef formula. The reason we changed it was due to the fact that one of pet store specialist and vet said it's probably all of the potato (carbs) in the High Prairie. Since he's been on the Angus Beef formula, 2 weeks now, he has been chewing on the bottom of his feet more than ever! Initially he was on a Large Breed Adult Chicken Receipe-Grain Free food but he was loosing weight due to his constant playing while at daycare, 3-4 days a week, 8 hours a day. The Large Breed Adult Chicken Receipe-Grain Free food was too low in protein at 22%, so that's the reason why we changed him to TOTW. He wasn't itching his feet on the previous food, so we will probably switch him back and just feed him 3x's a day, instead of 2x's. This Prey version is also higher priced in addition to being 5 lbs LESS than other the other 30 lb bags we've purchased in the past, for $7 to $9 less. Overall the ingredients are ideal for a high energy dog, just not my little boy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The ingredients appear high quality and the price point is very comparable to our current brand, so I have no reasons to be critical of this product. I like the variety of fruits included in the food, I have noticed that's indicative of premium dog food. Unfortunately my Frenchies had no interest in Taste of the Wild PREY Angus Beef Formula for Dogs. My little creatures of habit are used to Blue Buffalo Life Protection Small Breed Weight Control Chicken and Brown Rice formula. They are picky with treats and because I have two dogs there was not enough in the sample I was provided to try to phase it in as food. I did try to give them as treats at various times, including when I knew they were hungry. They ate a few pieces but did not seem interested.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Picky Eaters Favorite! I started Mim on TOTW after she started turning her nose up at anything I tried to feed her. She even ate sweet potatoes for three days one time because she came off wjatver I was trying to feed her. The last year and a half that she's been on TOTW she hasn't missed a meal! She's a VERY active dog so it's important that she gets the most out of her feed!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My fur baby is loving this. It also makes me happy to know that I’m feeding her a non GMO formula. I began feeding her by sample serving (treats) and this morning I fed her a small portion, she couldn’t get enough. She was so happy and the kids enjoyed seeing her delighted.Taste of the Wild PREY Angus Beef Formula for Dogs

Rated 2 out of 5 by from My dog would not touch it :( I feed TOTW Sierra formula and I have started mixing in the Prey. He will not eat it. I purchased 2 bags Angus beef & Troat, both formulas smell so bad. Both bags smell very off putting, a sick sweet smell - definitely not like meat or fish. I am in Canada and I am so disappointed as I have been waiting for it to land. I have been a TOTW customer for over 10 years...love your regular food. I do not think they take it back as they brought it into their store especially for me. At $31.99/bag - I am out of pocket.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Chicken FAT I switched my French Bulldog and Boxer to this food because both had severe allergies to Chicken! Now you’ve added Chicken Fat without notification to customers which accounts for my thousands of dollars in allergy issues with both dogs not realizing you added this garbage. What a disgraceful thing to do!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My crew of 4 love it! We have been feeding TOTW for years! We have 4 dogs. 2 senior Australian Cattle Dogs, a Shiba Inu Mix, and an English Bull Terrier. They all love their kibble. Their coats and skin are amazing, and even my red cattle dog with a sensitive stomach has been able to tolerate all TOTW varieties!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My dog was a big fan of this food. We are quite picky about the food we offer her and this limited ingredient food hit our requirements. She is an almost 5 year-old 42 lb. Austrian Shepard and this food as worked great for her health and energy levels.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I can’t really give an honest review on this because: 1) I did not personally try the food. 2) My dog is, well ... a dog. Put anything in front of her face and she’ll eat it. [Side Note: She’s 3 and has never had human food]. 3) My dog doesn’t talk or write so I don’t know what she really thought of it. Only thing I can say if she went right back to eating her regular food. I hate giving 3 stars but maybe if my dog refused to eat - after trying this - and wanted more, I would give it more stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My dog loved this food so much so that right when I put it in her bowl, it was gone. Which is saying a lot because she’s a very picky eater. I’ll definitely be purchasing more when I go to the store. If she loves it, then so do I.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This food appeals more to my dogs than any other animals food! With my dogs getting in their senior years, Taste of the Wild helps get rid of what they don’t need (grains) and more protein in their diet to give more energy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My dog is an older dog and has some issues with chewing some of the harder dog food formulas. This food seemed to give him no trouble with chewing and he gobbled it up so I think he enjoyed the taste as well!

Why chicken fat? Horrible ingredient! (fact check-sunflower oil is plentiful). Wrong move to go cheap like this. Does not seem as if customers are happy. This move to reduce production price-lost customers! Our pet stores replacing the entire Diamond line

Asked by: Chicken added 4 Real
Hello, thanks for contacting us. Occasionally, a recipe changes due to an improvement in the recipe or ingredient availability. Last year, we replaced sunflower oil with chicken fat in our PREY recipes. This minor change does not alter the nutrient guarantee nor the caloric content and offers the same benefits of promoting skin and coat health.
