Rated 5 out of 5 by from My German shepherd loves it My dog has really added on muscle mass with wetlands. His fur has become more shinier and he barely sheds. He has alot more energy and is much happier with this food. I don't think there is a better dog food on the market. Besides raw food

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My dogs love it and the ingredients are great! We switched about five weeks ago after an allergy test on one of my pitties. The list of acceptable dog food had most TOTW varieties and my vet raved about their foods. We switched to wetlands and we all are very happy with it. The price is pretty good, several local stores carry it as well as chewy. The ingredients are great, they eat let and go potty less (and I have four pit-mixes, so they’re all pretty good sized). On dogfoodadvisor.com they have an overal 4.5/5 stars and that is very hard to find across the board! Can’t believe we waited this long to try them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My German Shepherd Loves This Dog Food! I had to switch my German Shepherd, Calie, over from another brand because she wasn’t gaining any weight or seemed to enjoy meal times. I researched and tried this brand and she loves it. Her coat has never looked more shiny and she met her ideal weight! She is my best friend and baby and I am so glad there is an option like this out there for her! 10/10 recommend, I know your fur babies will love it too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everyone comments on how good my dogs look I have been exclusively using Taste of the Wild feed for years now. I currently have a Walker Hound and two Staffordshire Terriers. My dogs have been healthier than ever and everyone comments on how good their coats look. I feed my dogs the roasted fowl variety since it a little higher in protein for my extremely active dogs. I highly recommend Taste of the Wild feeds. My dogs love it and I love that they are healthy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TOTW improved my dog's health rapidly I got my dog from the shelter - she came to me with Oral Papilloma Virus due to poor health as a result of the awful conditions of where she come from. I immediately started feeding her TOTW Wetlands formula and the warts were gone within two weeks. Since then, my dog's health is superb and she continues to love eating TOTW! I will never buy another dog food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Helped with allergies I have tried several brands of premium kibble but my dogs had digestive issues and allergies. But TOTW seems to have fixed those issues. I have no more scratching and paw chewing. The stools are no longer loose and the gas is almost nonexistent. My 3 Bouviers love it and get excited when they see me heading to the food bin with bowls in tow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nutrition rich diet for my dog kid Our vet suggested TOTW (puppy) 2 yrs back as Rex was not gaining weight after he recovered from tick fever We could see the change in his fur, his energy level, his activeness & his stool. Rex’s immunity level was also increased. We recommended TOTW to other pet parents because we didn’t blindly believed the vet we compared TOTW with other dog brands, did our research over the product checked the quality, benefits, protein rich ingredient required for a Germanshepherd breed. I could see agility in my dog, now we visit to vet but to buy the product & regular check-up only.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Changed our lives. I rescued my boxer/lab mix when he was 12 weeks old. The rescue recommended purina puppy chow. This caused him major stomach and allergy issues and he started losing hair. I switched him to blue buffalo but he didn't ever want to eat and his issues didn't get better. I tried diamond naturals chicken and rice, which I used for my last rescue with stomach issues, but his allergies got worse. I slowly transitioned to nature's recipe grain free and didn't see any improvement. After talking to my sister she recommended TOTW and tried the wetlands recipie because on top of the other issues hes an extremely picky eater. He loves it!! His hair is back his coat is shiny and soft and he has no digestive problems now. This is an amazing dog food and after 1.5 years I never plan on feeding him or any other rescue I get anything else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best kibble you could buy hands down!! Our heeler absolutely thrives off of this food. His coat is shiny and soft, no skin issues or digestive issues at all. His teeth look fantastic as well! He goes crazy for the wetlands recipe in particular, but he's tested all of them and likes them all! When we first got him he was being fed low quality kibble and it showed. He also has more energy and isn't hungry all the time. I appreciate the healthy and high quality ingredients and you cannot beat the price, it's as close to feeding raw without breaking the bank. I would recommend this food to anyone! :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only food I’ve found that works I’ve tried so many different foods for my 1.5 year old dog. I’ve had her since she was 16 weeks old and she has the most sensitive stomach ever. I had her on TOTW and wanted to try other brands in light of the taurine DCM scare and the lawsuit allegations. Nothing else worked for my dog and she thrives on this food. So we won’t be switching again! This recipe in particular is best tolerated by her and helps with her coat and shedding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Helps my old dog’s digestion We discovered Taste of the Wild years ago, and our older dog with skin and stomach issues improved soon after we began feeding TOTW. After the questionable negative report on “grain free dog food” we switched to a reputable dog food w/grains-almost immediately skin and stomach issues (vomiting & diarrhea) returned. Soon after switching back to Wetlands Formula, my 14 year old dachshund “Slick” has a nice coat and a calm stomach.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Healthy dog! I discovered TOTW Wetlands kibble after using 4Health Turkey and Potato for a couple of months. My rescue's coat had improved with 4Health but his skin was still somewhat dry, flaky and itchy. I'm thrilled with the improvement! We get compliments on his healthy appearance everywhere we go, and he loves eating Wetlands. And we can afford it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We made a good choice! We have a black lab and a medium sized beagle/boxer mix. They were eating a different food brand a few months ago and we recently made the switch to the Wetlands recipe. We noticed before we switched that they were always constipated and very lethargic. My boyfriend and I took them into the vet and they explained it might be their food. Since we have switched, both our dogs have not had any issues with their gut and the most energy I have ever seen them with! Our black lab is 5 years old and he is running around like a puppy again! I am so pleased with this food brand. I also follow dog food advisor and I have noticed from old recalls that this brand is one not to be seen on that list and it puts my mind at ease knowing that I am feeding my family something good for them!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Confusing Formulas I have a 2 yr old female Chiweenie and a 3 month old Chi/Jack Russell mix. The formula recommended for small dogs is very high in calories, i.e. Pacific Stream grain-free. My Chiweenie bulked up so fast on this, I became alarmed, cut the amount back but she's not lost any weight. Extremely few treats, not daily, very active with the puppy. Formula has 32/18 protein/fat. For my puppy, TOW recommendation puppy food only has 27/18 protein/fat. I've always been told puppies need the highest level of protein! My adult dog isn't losing weight on the recommended formula and my puppy isn't gaining any weight on the puppy formula! I was going to put both on the Wetlands formula because Chewy shows it as all stages. I thought, perfect! But I can't verify that anywhere else. Is it maintenance or all stages???

The pet supplier said this was okay for a 7 month old cockapoo? Should I do puppy version instead?

Asked by: DrSA
Wetlands Canine Formula is a maintenance diet, and is formulated for adult dogs. Our puppy and “all life stages” formulas were developed to meet the nutritional needs of growing puppies – we recommend our High-Prairie Puppy Formula with Roasted Bison and Roasted Venison or Pacific Stream Puppy Formula with Smoked Salmon.

Any reason why the Wetlands isn't recommended for puppies?

Asked by: kpaulsen
Hello. Taste of the Wild Wetlands Canine with Roasted Fowl provides a maintenance diet for adult dogs; it does not meet the nutritional needs for growing puppies. Our puppy and all life stages formulas also contain ingredients such as DHA essential for dogs’ early development.

Hello! Our double coat, mixed shepherd has chronic fungal skin infections. Would the Wetlands blend be the best choice to help reduce yeast overgrowth? Our son feeds his dog the Pacific blend and LOVES the results!

Asked by: RollTide
Hello and thanks for reaching out! We’re sorry to hear about your pup’s skin infections. Taste of the Wild is formulated without grains, and with unique protein sources, so pets with food and skin sensitivities often do well on our products. We have two recipes that are our top choices for pets with skin sensitivities due to their limited protein sources: Pacific Stream and Sierra Mountain. Additionally, our Taste of the Wild PREY formulas could be a great option for pups with skin allergies due to their limited ingredients. Each formula contains no more than four key ingredients (one animal protein source, sunflower oil, tomato pomace and lentils). We recommend working with your veterinarian to determine what may be causing your dog’s skin infections. If you’d like to learn more about our recipes, please contact us by visiting our website https://www.tasteofthewildpetfood.com/#contact-us.

My Dog has switched from Merrick Classic Lamb to the TOTW Ancient Wetlands. Wondering if it is normal for the anal glands to leak when changing foods? This is the second bag of the new food.

Asked by: Tiffany
Hello and thanks for reaching out. We are sorry to hear that your dog is experiencing anal gland problems – that’s no fun! There are many potential factors that can affect your dog’s anal glands (things like allergies, being overweight, hypothyroidism, infections, etc.) We recommend working with your veterinarian to check further into your dog’s issue.
