Rated 5 out of 5 by from My two dive right in when fed! My two pups absolutely love Taste of the Wild! I've tried other brands and they all have given them some issues but never Taste of the Wild. Their coats are also amazing because of it. Our Vet always compliments them on it and I say it's all good healthy food. Thank you to the company for making something great for my babies!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best food by far I’m a new Taste of the wild buyer but I can say I will never go back. We were researching the food requirements for our female Bernese mountain dog and Taste of the wild came up time and time again. I can honestly say I am not surprised that it was so highly recommended. Sierra Mountain is perfect for my giant breed dog as it gives her he nutrients, high protein content and grain free food she requires. She absolutely adores the food and we’ve started to notice a difference in her coat, eyes and temperament since feeding her this. She has a lot more energy and seems a lot happier in herself. We have also noticed that her bowel movements are a lot more frequent, softer and more consistent- leading us to conclude that her gut is as happy as she is. Would very highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long time fans of Taste of the Wild Members of our pack have come and gone over the years, but one constant in our house for many years has been feeding Taste of the Wild. People frequently comment on how soft and glossy the coats of our dogs always look, and we always tell them it's because we feed Taste of the Wild.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turned my picky eater into a chowhound! We adopted a dog from a rescue a few years back and they gave us a small bag of this to take home for her. We have another at home who is a super picky eater and almost never finished his food so we thought we'd try it with him too. He gobbled it up like he'd never seen food before! Since then, it's the only thing we feed them in our household. All three dogs love it, and we've even seen a decrease in their itching and shedding. Other brands might be less expensive but we're not switching!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Picky Weimaraner finally eating We've had a difficult time with our young Weimaraner showing prolonged interest in any food. He's always been very lean (he's 11 months now), so I've struggled with trying to put weight on him in a healthy way (he's considered a large breed due to the amount of growth over the first year). We've tried kibble, kibble + wet, raw homemade, and adding Dyne, a weight gain supplement. I've spent a lot of money on getting my guy to eat! He's only ever eaten about 1/2 to 3/4 of his serving size for any of the foods/regimes we've picked for the entirety of his existence thus far. I'm so happy to say that he's finally interested in eating with this Taste of the Wild formula. He's actually eating the hard kibble (after most recently being on a raw, soft formula) and we're over joyed. Thank you for your product!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from concerned about this brand Been feeing our dogs taste of the wild lamb food for years now. No problems ever. All of a sudden we have a brand new bag and our dogs are so sick. Lethargic and constantly vomiting. I am so worried about this brand of food and we are going to the vet first thing in the morning with a sample of the dog food. Will be switching brands immediately after we try for refund at the pet shop. Read reviews years ago, now I'm finding recent reviews that are making me completely shocked.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My dog ate it for years I fed this to my dog for years and he seemed to thrive on it. He was in good health at 11 years old. However last Spring he started not eating with vomiting and diarrhea. He lost a lot of weight and wouldn't eat. He was diagnosed with IBS and given antibiotics and steroids. We thought we were going to lose him. He finally started to eat the low fat prescription diet and put the weight back on. Hopefully he remains good and will celebrate his 12th birthday in December.

She is a very happy, healthy and active dog. Everyone that has the pleasure of interacting with her, they believe she is a puppy. When I inform them of her age, they are shocked. Their comments include that she is so full of energy, her coat is so soft, she looks so good etc. I tell everyone that I take very good care of her, including what I feed her.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My dog absolutely loves it! We have been using this food since 2009 in San Jacinto, CA at the time. We took a transfer back to Texas in 2010 and had to search for it. Now it is in every store! Leaves their coats shiny and all their labs from the vet are always perfect. Also their teeth stay sparkling white. We have used this on 3 big dogs and two small dogs through the years. We only have a German Shepherd now and he is a beauty thanks to this food!

This is the one and only dry dog food my 8 year old Chocolate Lab will eat! She won't eat any other flavor or any other brand! She has a beautiful coat and more energy than we can burn! I appreciate how fresh the food is and how easy it is to purchase. Several retailers in my area carry it. Thanks for helping my best friend stay happy and healthy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality food my dog loves Around a year of age, while on another premium food, our pup developed ongoing loose stools and tummy troubles. After several vet visits and temporarily putting him on a hypoallergenic formula, we found Taste of the Wild and their chicken-free Sierra Mountain. For the first time in months his stools looked normal. He has been on TOTW for six months and is healthy and happy, so we're happy too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our dog loves it and keeps him healthy. We've been feeding him various varieties of this food for about 5 years. He's gotten healthier and happier since. His favorite is the pine forest. But that's out of stock everywhere so today we got him the ancient mountain with roasted lamb. He seems to be happy with this one as well. We also feed our two cats totw Venison recipe and they love it. Don't change the recipe in us now!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best dog food on the market! We have been getting taste of the wild for our two huskies for years now and they love it! I’ve tried giving them different brands of dog food and they refuse to eat anything else. Since we started I’ve noticed there coat is shiny and healthy, healthy teeth, and tons of energy! One of our dogs is now 12 and still plays like a puppy. This food keeps our pups in tip top shape!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Food, Dog Loves it Our adopted Pitbull mix had some trouble with stool consistency, but since we've started to wean him on to TOTW, his stools have been healthy and easy to pass. He also really loves the taste and is far more excited about mealtimes. We weren't looking specifically for a grain-free diet, but I'm pretty convinced at this point that it's only had positive healthy benefits.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great food. I have been feeding all three of my dogs this food for the past few years now and they love it. I switch up the flavors so it gives them something new each time. Never had a problem with my sensitive skin dogs. And my dogs are all at different life stages and all do great eating the same food. I recently decided to try it with the cats same response, they love it.

He enjoys going to the pet store to pick out his new flavor for each bag. We love that it’s made with quality ingredients and an affordable price. It is by far our favorite. It keeps Barrett’s coat soft and shiny. We are proud to be part of the Taste of the Wild family!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Picky Eater Loves this Recipe I have been feeding my Rottweiler Taste of the Wild her entire life, from puppy to adult. She absolutely loves all the different Recipes, but adores the Roasted Lamb as her favorite. I dissect sheep brains for work teaching anatomy, and this recipe smells of lamb distinctly. I trust all the ingredients in this food and both of us love Taste of the Wild!

I have a dachshund who has recently had 13 struvite stones removed from her bladder. I am in need of a food that is low in protein, phosphorus, and magnesium; one that promotes formation of acidic urine. Any suggestions? She can no longer have Sierra.

My 2 year old Boxer has been dealing with slightly elevated liver enzymes his whole life. I had him on the High Prairie Dog Food originally but was concerned that the large amount of protein would be tough on his liver. Which food would you recommend?

Asked by: Scottie
Hello, Scottie. Since your Boxer has a chronic medical issue, it would be best to discuss diet with your veterinarian. The Sierra Mountain Canine Formula has 25.6% protein on an as-fed basis, quite a bit lower than the High Prairie. Your vet should be able to tell you if this is a good choice based on your dog’s medical history.
