Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great food! I have a 9 month old puppy. We adopted her when she was about 14 weeks old. She's had all sorts of digestive issues since we brought her home. She had a large tapeworm when we got her and needed three rounds of meds to get rid of it. We weren't sure if it was that or food sensitivities that were giving her digestive trouble. Gas, loose stools and occasional vomiting... all the time. We tried multiple food brands, probiotics, pumpkin supplements... anything new we tried didn't work or made things worse. I picked up a small bag of Pacific Stream on a whim, since we haven't tried a fish-based food yet. Literally perfect stool the next day. Seamless transition period. She loves it and is FINALLY thriving. This is a great food. I highly recommend if you suspect your puppy has food sensitivities!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Lab puppy LOVES it! My puppy Kubota loves this food!!! He's almost 10 months old, still has a very soft coat, shiny, no skin or ear issues. Very happy with this product and will continue him on Taste Of The Wild as an adult dog.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My dog loves this food! My dog has food allergies and we tried a bunch of other foods - top name brands, and nothing changed - then we discovered Taste of the Wild and after a few weeks he was back to normal, no itching and now after a couple of months on it all his hair has grown back in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My puppy loves this food. I got my puppy Shelby at 3 weeks old. I bottle feed him for two weeks then started to feed him Pacific steam in with his puppy supplement milk. He is now 6 1/2 months old my kids have dogs of there own and saw how well Shelbys coat was they now are feeding there dogs Taste of the Wild food. I did just buy a larger bag of food but it didn’t look or smell the same as I had been getting for the last 3 months. He hasn’t been eating it as well either. I put applesauce or pumpkin in it just so he will eat his food. I’m on disability and have a limited amount of income but I wanted him to have a high Quality of food. This was listed as a top 5 puppy food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My dalmatian LOVES this When trying to find a brand of food to feed our dalmatian, we spent A LOT of time researching to ensure that his food is low in purines but maintained a high protein source. Not only is Taste of the Wild all natural, our little guy LOVES it. I can't say how happy we are with this brand/food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Puppy loves it! When we got our puppy he was on a low quality Puppy Chow. We changed that immediately to another brand of food which was grain free and had no byproduct. Something about the food didn't sit right with him and he had very soft poos. He's a husky, so he's already a finicky eater but on the previous brand food he hardly ate some days. After that bag was gone I decided to try Taste of the Wild as I had seen it recommended on Husky websites and forums. We brought home a bag of Pacific Stream Puppy and put a bowl of it next to his previous food to see which he preferred. He went straight for the Pacific Stream! He eats way more than he used to (but still within healthy amounts for his age and weight) and has nice, firm healthy poos. He is alert and bright eyed and ready to learn at all times! We definitely recommend this for any puppy. Our cats even prefer his food over their own and we're now switching them to TOTW with salmon for cats to encourage them to eat their own food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Been eating this stuff since 8 weeks old! My rottweiler is 1.5 years old, he started on the Pacific stream puppy chow and graduated to the Pacific stream dry dog food. Never has this food given him loose stools, his coat remains nice and shiny without feeding him raw eggs, and most rottweiler is a self feeder, meaning his food is always in his bowl, he eats to his fill but is at the perfect weight according to our vet

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tucker looks forward eating! We’ve feeding Tucker (Pyredoodle) a variety of wet snd dry foods to Tucker since we received him at 8 weeks old. He is now 2.5 and is in great shape, energetic, beautiful coat and his vet says he is in superior condition. We did a lot of research before he arrived and all the best comments and information we received said…and the winner is (drum roll) Taste of the Wild! All you need now is a peanut butter flavored one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loves it I was looking for a high quality, grain free, food for my Alaskan Malamute puppy and picked this up at my local farm store, where I trust the brands they sell. He loves it, it keeps him regular, and he's growing like a weed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from German Shepherd with chicken allergy I have been feeding this puppy recipe for time now. I was not aware that my pup had a chicken allergy and was really glad I found this recipe. Which he loves!!! Now he is thriving and is at the ideal weight. Couldn’t be any happier with my choice for his nutrition needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our Pupper Loves It! When we got our Husky (Luna) in September 2021, we did research on the best food recommendations and have been very happy with Taste of the Wild! She loves it. She (as well as many Husky’s) has such a sensitive stomach and Taste of the Wild has been perfect in avoiding any issues. We recently started mixing a half can of wet food once a day as a treat. She gets so excited! Thank you for such a great product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My picky puppy loves this food I have a super picky german shepherd/husky mix puppy who always turns his nose up to kibble or food with chicken in it, and will only eat canned or fresh food that’s beef or fish flavoured which is a little bit more costly than I can afford, it’s so amazingly difficult to find a good quality puppy kibble that doesn’t contain a mostly chicken and I finally found this food! It’s the only kibble that he will eat and it’s affordable too! My only complaint is that I’m kind of unsure about potatoes in dog food, as it has low nutritional value for dogs and is used as a filler, this recipe would be better with oatmeal or rice instead of potatoes which are very good for dogs in comparison. Other than that I highly recommend this puppy food for people with picky pups

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Barkley’s Fast Favorite! From the moment we brought Barkley home from the breeder, he ditched his old food and chowed down on his Pacific Stream Puppy food!! It helped firm up his stools, regulate his digestion, and has such a high nutrient content over his old food that he eats 2/3 of what he used to and is growing like a weed!! We love this food!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Puppy loves it Prior to feeding my cocker spaniel puppy taste of the wild, we were feeding him blue buffalo, the puppy formula. After a few weeks of him eating the blue buffalo he would constantly be throwing up the food, sometimes up to three times a day. Once I switched him to taste of the wild smoked salmon my puppy has not thrown up since. Although the smell is not the most pleasant, it keeps him from throwing up and he likes the flavor. Also, the pieces of food are smaller and a more reasonable size for puppies. Thank you taste of the wild for a high quality product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best dog food! We’ve been feeding taste of the wild since she has come into our lives & trust me she goes crazy for those kibbles, she has just turned one year (26th April) but I’ve never seen her throwing tantrum related to food, she hasn’t skip her meal these entire time. Just like her food she’s the best girl ever!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing product I have a Lab and since he was a puppy he has had allergies, it took a while to find a food he loves and improved his skin and coat. He was losing hair and his fur was dry, he had red dry flaky patches all over his belly and chest. After switching his diet to taste of the wild pacific stream I noticed his hair grew back, the red flaky bumps are gone and he’s not itching anymore! 5 Stars for this food!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Maybe fine for outdoor dogs Regarding specifically the Pacific Stream Puppy food. Switched my nursing mother to this shortly after whelping, she now reeks so bad it is hard to have her in the house. Unfortunately, the bison flavor was out locally when I went to the store to purchase. she loves the food and is probably plenty healthy, but my retriever is an indoor girl...and this flavor is not for indoor dogs. Taste of the wild seems fine, but not this flavor for an indoor dog. Kind of like being around someone who eats tons of garlic everyday. it just oozes out of their skin. She reeked within 2 days of the switch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solved allergies My boxer puppy was suffering from the worst food allergies. We tried several different brands and ingredients/ sensitive skin formulas with no relief for her. After many visits to the vet we still had no answers other than she suffers from allergies. A friend mentioned taste of the wild Pacific Stream puppy formula. Within one week her skin allergies were gone! Amazing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent food for nursing moms!! My mama pug did fantastic on this puppy food during the second half of pregnancy and throughout nursing. The biggest difference I noticed is she did not lose patches of hair all over her body like many mama dogs do. That happened to her the three previous pregnancies. But not this time!! Her black coat is still as shiny as it was before she got pregnant and she hasn't lost any hair. This formula has taken great care of her. The puppies are now being introduced to it, and I expect them to do great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only the best for my pack I started feeding this to my sweet old boy when he started showing his old age. I started really looking into his food and found taste of the wild at my local farm store 6+ years ago. The food changed him! His coat had never been so beautiful in all our years together he never had such a beautiful coat. He’s passed. Now I have 2 purebred French Bulldog puppies. They will never eat anything but taste of the wild products. They arrived with another high quality brand but didn’t tolerate that brand which was ok because I had ordered 2 puppy flavors before the puppies arrived their TOTW was ready and waiting. The cat won’t eat anything else either he’s a big beautiful long haired B&W tuxedo solid muscle kitty

He is in love with this stuff. It has helped him stop scratching so much and he has stopped all the nervous energy he seemed to have. We love this stuff and will always recommend this food to anyone who has pups.

When we switch him to Taste of the Wild all his allergies disappeared. And he hasn't had a flare-up in years But recently I change the formula and he LOVES IT!!!! He is always asking for more food and excited for his eating time!! This formula has helped him with his weight and coat making it shiner and not letting him loss it so drastically like with other brands

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pick of my litter- my dogs dig Pacific Stream I have been feeding my 2 girls Pacific Stream and wetlands for 8 years. If my dogs could talk they would say how they look forward to the salmon dinners they have. It is so good for their skin and help them stay strong and healthy. My one dog was born with sublexing knees and at 1 1/2 years old I thought she would have a short life but now she is 8 years old and is on no medicine nor supplements. I attribute that to Taste of the Wild giving her all the nutrients she needs.

His coat, teeth, nails, etc...have always been so shiny & strong. A lot of that is due to TotW. Thank you for providing him with such a high quality product!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved my pup and my pocket book!!! We've been feeding Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream for over 12 years now. When our Siberian Husky Ahnu was a puppy she had serious skin issues. Our vet helped us with her diet and ultimately helped us find and start her on this food. We saw a noticeable difference immediately. Our vet assumed it was the lack of Chicken Fat and Chicken Meal, but honestly I didn't care. My dogs skin was healing and her coat was coming back in. Within a year she was fully healed and absolutely beautiful. Even today her coat is beautiful and she is now 13 years old! We never thought we'd get this age from her. I hold TOW responsible for my dogs continuing vitality and health. I truly believe she would be long gone if we hadn't found this company.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't Get Enough! I've been feeding my puppy this formula and he trully can't wait to eat. I've needed to add a special dish so it takes him longer to eat so he can enjoy it a little longer. He has great energy and a beautiful shiny coat. When he reaches adulthood, he will be eating the adult stage along with my other dogs who have eaten this formula for years! They are all in perfect weigh condition with no signs of aging. Still act like puppies!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So good for my dog’s overall health! We have a rescue bulldog who came with major stomach issues plus all of those bully issues like finding a no grain, no chicken based product that she would and could ingest. Since Taurine has been added into TOTW, we don’t have to worry. We tried almost every food out there including prescription and sensitive stomach ones. Our baby has to eat 3 x a day in small amounts with a mixture of both wet/dry food. TOW is the ONLY food that has worked. I recommend it every chance I get to all bully owners. Thank you so much for making this fabulous product.

Has anyone fed this to their blue heeler pup ? He has dandruff and he get coconut oil along with anti itch medicine & we’ve order fish oil. But thru research I’ve found fish / omega 3 to be great. So curious about this food.

Asked by: Meadowsmama
Hello, and thanks for reaching out! Our Pacific Stream Puppy Recipe may be a good choice for your Blue Heeler puppy, as the #1 ingredient is sustainably sourced salmon. Salmon is a high-quality protein source that is rich in omega fatty acids, which help maintain healthy skin and a shiny coat as well as overall good health. This recipe also contains DHA, a marine-sourced omega-3 fatty acid that supports brain and vision development in growing puppies and serves as an anti-inflammatory. Please know, we recommend consulting with your veterinarian to help find the most appropriate diet based on your puppy’s needs.

Hello, I was wondering if you had heard of any pets having very strong smelling urine while on the Pacific Stream Puppy food? If so, is it due to the salmon? Thank you

Asked by: Kristen
Hi, Kristen. We have not had any reports of this food affecting the odor of pets’ urine. Eating salmon has been associated with a change in urine odor in humans, but this hasn’t been studied in pets. Abnormal smelling urine can be a symptom of a urinary tract infection. We recommend consulting with your veterinarian to determine the cause of the odor.
