Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed It has been months since I have been able to purchase the Pacific Salmon wet canned food. None of the local store where I have purchased this product have it. I even attempted to get it from chewy.com and they are also out of stock. Totally unacceptable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My pack of 3 loves the salmon best! I have been feeding my pack of three taste of the wild for as long as I can remember. High quality food= High quality dogs! Plus the added bonus of creating "treats" for the Beagle in the backyard! Yes, he sniffs around and if left unsupervised he will gooble up what the other two cr@p factories produced that day! It's gotta be great dog food if they eat it "twice"!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No other food I have given this formula to my Jack Russell since she was a puppy. I did a lot of research on dog foods before deciding on this brand. My dogs fur is so soft like puppy fur and she is 8 yrs. Old. I have recommended Taste of the wild to all pet owners I have encountered. This food is awesome for my dog!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Been using for years all my dogs love it I have been using TOTW for over 10 years now in all life stages. I have 2 huskies and a senior Labrador. If I’ve had to use something else for some reason, my dogs literally will not eat it. My female husky Luna will not eat anything but it…. She will push off people food to get to her kibble!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst dog food ever bought! I was looking for a dog food that would help my 4 legged babies, 2 Rat Terriers, with very sensitive stomachs and allergies. I was told by a Sales Person that this food was very good for those reasons. Contrary to what I was told, my dogs itched like crazy and their stool was hard as rocks causing the poor things to cry out as they defecated. If you're thinking it, YES, they were drinking plenty of water. I'm so upset at myself for putting my fir babies through such misery from this food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our dogs thrive on both the dry and wet food BUT if you cant keep the food stocked on the shelves, we have to move on. IT is very disruptive to change our dogs' diet because cans are not available. Please spend your resources on maintaining an excellent product

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dog really likes this brand My dog is not picky but she is a "delicate" eater. Since we switched to Taste of the Wild, she doesn't leave a morsel, even wants to lick the spoon we dish it out with. I just started her on your kibble as well and she eats every bit. That's especially good because we have to try and sneak in her vitamins and she used to eat everything but the food with the vitamins in it...not anymore! I almost don't have to wash her food bowl

Rated 3 out of 5 by from HUSKY LOVES IT! WISH I CAN FIND IN STOCK We have been feeding our 8 year old husky a combination of the wet and dry food, and he leaves his bowl empty so quickly. He is also very picky with his food so we were surprised that he had no issues with taste of the wild; however, I seem to always run into the problem of finding the wet dog food in stock! It has been weeks that I haven't found any dog stores that carry this particular one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Taste of the Wild varieties While we use all the variable canned Taste of the Wild, our 3 pups favorite kibble pick is the Pacific Salmon. Both are mixed for their breakfast & evening meal. They all love the Pacific Salmon Kibble fish taste & with so many canned flavors, we mix them up every week. We've been feeding Taste of the Wild for many years and find it to be the best for their diets and our budget!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm an expert! I worked for an upscale pet store a few years ago back in Idaho. This was one of the more popular brands that we sold. Very good ingredients, good quality overall. The flavors are as diverse as the canine palate. So many to choose from! I tend to go through different flavors, so my dog doesn't actually have a favorite. Taste of the wild is the way to go!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from He loves the gravy! I have a mixed small breed. He has kibble down all the time and I feed can food daily when I get home from work. He also has sensitive skin and stomach. Taste of Wild was on sale so I figured I would try it. He liked the food and loved the gravy! (I however don't like the smell of fish) Over all,he liked it so that is all that mattered.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They absolutely love it. There are 2 Shiba Inus at the house and for the most part they only eat fish based foods. They absolutely love both the dry and wet salmon based products provided by Taste of the Wild. The pacific stream wet product always makes them wiggle their tails.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our dog loves it. We have been feeding taste of the wild for years now. We tried other foods but our pups prefer taste of the wild. We live the fact that it’s filled with nutrition instead of a bunch of fillers like other brands. A great healthy pick!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Joshua can't get enough Considering he's a picky eater (well, for a dog, anyway), this stuff keeps him glued to the bowl acting like he's never eaten anything before. And then he looks up and wants more..... Great stuff, and so good for him.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shiba Inu Allergy I have used Taste of the Wild dry dog food for many years including for my current Shiba Inu. As a puppy, he ate the High Prairie Puppy Recipe and was thriving. When he was 10 months old, I switched his food to High Prairie Canine Recipe. When he was 12 months old, after reading research that shows dogs need grain for good health, I switched his food to High Prairie Canine Recipe with Ancient Grain. A few weeks later, I started noticing he was scratching more and licking his paws. I started using anti-itch shampoo, putting salmon oil on his food and switched his food to Ancient Stream Recipe with Ancient Grain. Things improved but then this spring the scratching and licking increased. After doing a lot of research on the Shiba Inu, they tend to be allergic to grain; so, this week, on his 2-year birthday. I switched to grain-free treats and Pacific Stream Recipe Grain Free. The next day, I saw improvement and within 4 days he stopped scratching and licking and has renewed energy. If you have Shiba Ini with a scratching and licking problem, you should consider grain-free food and treats.

How long can I keep a can of your dog food refrigerated before it considered "too old" or "unsafe" to use. Feeding dry & wet food. Would probably be buying Wetlands Fowl in gravy.

Asked by: Welsh Terrier
Hello, thanks for your question. Partially eaten cans should be covered or put into an airtight container in the refrigerator and kept no longer than three days after opening.

Is the salmon in this food wild caught, or is it from farmed sources? Thank you.

Asked by: Rachael
Hi Rachael, thanks for your question. We use both wild and farmed salmon. Due to concerns over sustainable fishing, we use a blend of wild caught and farmed salmon from the Pacific Northwest and Chile. It comes in fresh and does not contain any preservatives.

The last time I resupplied (Pacific salmon) I accidentally picked up a puppy formula bag. My little Maltese likes the smaller size but she is 6 1/2 years old. Is there any difference in the formulation that would indicate I should go back to the regular?

Asked by: Lisa poppa
Pacific Stream Puppy is formulated to meet the nutritional needs of dogs at all life stages, so if your Maltese likes it, you can absolutely continue to feed it.

What is the ratio of wet to dry? I have a 40 pound dog, very active. I’ve seen the recommended for dry and wet only but if I wanted to mix it, what would be the ratio? In other words a can of wet equals how many cups of dry. I do not want to over feed. Th

Asked by: Jeff
Hello, thanks for contacting us. The amount of each recipe to feed your pet is dependent on their age as well as their size. Since one can of our Pacific Stream Canine Recipe in Gravy contains 346 calories, and one cup of our Pacific Stream Canine Recipe contains 408 calories, a can of the wet food equals approximately 7/8 of a cup of the dry recipe. Our feeding guides are a starting point and can be adjusted based on your pet’s activity level and body condition. As always, we encourage you to work with your veterinarian to determine an appropriate weight and adjust feeding amounts as necessary.
