As a very active cat I always tell my mom a little gravy goes with everything. There's nothing fishy about this brand except for it's great taste! This way I have time to play in the water and go exploring instead of fishing for my food. It is high in protein too which I don't know much about by my human says it's good for my active lifestyle. It's even better than catnip!Date published: 2023-04-03Rated 5 out of 5 by Jim68 from A healthy and affordable option My little princess developed a food allergy. It was hard to find a reasonably priced wet cat food that doesn't contain chicken or chicken byproducts. I was pleasantly surprised to find this product. Other chicken free food brands cost quadruple the price. She is a picky eater so I was ecstatic when she started eating your product without protest. Thank you for this wonderful product! Guar gum in cat food had a significant negative effect on apparent protein digestibility in many cats and tended to depress apparent fat and energy digestibilities. This means guar gum inhibits Protein and fat metabolism and cats need to eat more to compensate for the problem. This issue is more severe in older cats that naturally have a compromised digestive efficiency. Cat food containing guar gum should be avoided for senior cats or cats that are GI compromised or cats with IBD, IBS, intestinal lymphoma, pancreatitis to name a few. The study on guar gum and cats also indicated a decreased feces quality, causing cats to experience wet, loose stools and diarrhea. Studies also indicate that prolonged ingestion of guar gum increases the odds for developing colorectal cancer. Bottom line, guar gum does not belong in cat food. There are other additives that can be used in place of guar gum, you need to do your due diligence to ensure your cat food is safe for all cats. You should inform your customers that if their cats experience any GI problems, they should stop feeding them your cat food. Hoping you will post this information to ensure your customers are well informed. Thank you from a well informed cat owner and cat lover.Date published: 2018-05-14What is the carb percentage for this formula? Thanks!

But after that, she appears to like only the gravy and will leave most of the chunks. Any solution to this? It's too tough for me to mash it up for her. Any suggestions? Thanx
I hope you're still following this thread. I bought Taste of the Wild for my cat diagnosed with megacolon. She loved the gravy, wouldn't eat the chunks, so I got a bright idea. If you have a NutriBullet blender, put one entire can of the cat food in, also about 1/3 cup canned organic pumpkin, also one small jar chicken flavored baby food, and some chicken broth (specially for cats, no salt, onions, etc.). Blend the whole works - it comes out a pureed, putrid dark yellow color, but my kitty LOVES the stuff and it's now the mainstay of her diet. Good Luck.Date published: 2018-07-28What is the Vitamin D and Vitamin D3 percentage of one can? Does it meet recommended daily requirements for grown cats?
