Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our bulldog loves it! Was recommended by the vet for our 4 year old bulldog. He was having an allergic reaction to a number of other grain free foods. Since switching he's been doing good, his tear stains are completely gone, and he does shed half as much as he use to. I cant believe how much of a difference this food made for our dog.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great kibble solution!! Our handsome Chocolate Labrador is not a picky eater and loves just about all foods; However, his sensitive stomach is quite particular. We set out to change food because he was getting repetitive ear infections, his skin was itchy and he was constantly shedding as though it was always summer. We were so relieved at how easily his tummy transitioned to TOW Pacific Stream, without any soft stools. Since switching, ear infections and itchy skin is a thing of the past, and his coat looks fantastic!! Although we have had the Mini Australian Shepherd (the pickier eater) on a small breed food with no sensitivity issues... but once we introduced the TOW Pacific Stream, she eats out of the big guy’s dish and leaves her kibble ~ lol. I highly recommend this food!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Take the peas back out We had been using this food with great success for our dog who is allergic to a long list of items. He started breaking out again and I checked the food ingredients and found that you had changed the formula and added PEAS. Please consider re-formulating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our dogs love it! We have fed our two dogs Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream brand for over 10 years. Our previous brand was Iams, which 1 of our dogs continued to have skin issues with. We switched to Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream and had no further issues with skin problems. Our dogs lived to be 18 years old and after they were gone we recused 2 dogs and we continued to buy Taste of the Wild brand food. We also suggested this brand to 2 of our daughters and they now feed their dogs Taste of the Wild brands. We will never try another brand and will continue with Taste of the Wild!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my sensitive GSD My dog has had two GI surgeries in the past two years and has a VERY sensitive stomach, and he adores Pacific Stream! It's easy on his stomach and keeps his weight up without having to feed him an insane amount per meal like some other foods we've tried.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Energy Needed. My beat partner and I moved from South Carolina to Arkansas, Our departure caused stress in both of our lives. OnKai a 7 year old Belgium Malinos, went from working the streets to guarding and hanging around our house all day. I was going stir crazy and so was he, However I had to prove myself at our new department in Little Rock. Our food choice wasn't Salmon based and my son grew to a whopping 94 lbs. We were granted a spot on the K9 team here in February and I switched dog food at that time. OnKai (aka My Son)has leaned down to 83 lbs, his energy is thru the roof once again and our training has improved greatly. We just tracked about a mile and half in 81 degree heat, humidity at 74% around 4 in the afternoon and apprehended the suspect. Those of you who K9 know that is a great accomplishment. OnKai's hunt once again is intense and is out performing the younger canines in our county. I owe it to our vigilance, and a great diet of The Taste Of the Wild Salmon Based food. Thank you for producing a Great Product. Time to Get Our K9 On !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Within a week noticed huge difference My big baby puppy boy Archer is 1 year 3 months. He has always had itches that couldn't be explained at first & later some hair thinning esp on his hind legs/hocks on other brands of salmon foods unbeknownst had some sort of bird & were the reason for his itches & hair thinning. He has a fowl sensitivity. It's becoming more common now adays not just northern breeds but even with bully breeds. If your dog is having issue's I suggest checking their food. When Archers fur between end of February & 2 weeks ago started to thin mostly back legs/hocks & tail (not shedding but different) he was getting wiry hair & didn't want to eat his food. I went to read his old food ingredients to check Zinc thinking maybe I needed to add some extra & saw they added chicken meal for Glucosamine. I set out to the local specialty pet store to find something again without fowl as he is very sensitive to it. I found this food - Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream Grain-Free Dry Dog Food which doesn't have any bird but still had lots of good for my dog. Thank you for making a bird (duck, chicken, etc) free product that is fish which is my dog's preferred meat that he's never had a issue with. Please if you ever change the food try to put a bold notice out; I'd appreciate it. I'll try to edit this later to add another photo showing his fur back to normal. On a cost note his old food was $99 for a 40 lb bag & taste of the wild is $45 for 30 lb bag. Which is also a huge bonus less money & it's better for him. Totally worth every penny.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Allergies gone Switched from another brand to TOTW about 18 months ago for my almost 2y/o Lab X Walker hound. She LOVES it. For meal time or treats for her treat ball. Adding in her coconut oil and Omega 369 in the morning, she licks the bowl clean. After suffering from near-constant ear infections at a very young age and persistent chin acne, TOTW made these issues disappear. Making the dreaded visits to the vet only for the essentials. She's high energy and constantly moving, so TOTW makes us all happy, including her Maltese sister who gets a taste of her food every morning and night to be fair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good diet for dog with congestive heart failure I have been feeding this product to my English Mastiff for almost her whole life. When she was recently diagnosed with congestive heart failure, I was happy to hear that this would continue to be an acceptable diet for her since sodium restriction becomes a requirement for a dog with CHF and she already liked this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top quality ingredients. Both Dogs love it!!! My Golden had allergies and sensitive stomach. Tried all kinds- even Lamb and Rice. Nothing seemed to work until someone suggested Taste of the Wild Salmon. I have never been happier. No more eating grass. Shiny coat. Also feeding to my husky. Both dogs love it. Ingredients as good as human consumption.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great grain free sustainable food: 2 mutts Tillie, our Jack Russel /White Pug mix has sensitivity to chicken and grains. TOTW has been her food for almost all of her healthy 4 years! We add water or sweet potato and she snarfs it, and plays great on it! We got her rescue sister, Luna 2 years ago and she also benefits from the fatty acids. She is min-pin and shepherd if you can believe it! Her skin is so shiny and she enjoys less additives or chemicals with TOTW. As PNW residents, the mom and I appreciate the thoughtful salmon sourcing and veggie sourced ingredients too. Thanks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Giant Breeds! When we got Bear, our Bernese Mountain Dog, our vet recommended Taste of the Wild Salmon formula because she said it is good for the giant breeds joints and hips. We listened to her and saw no reason to stop when we got Grizz, the Newfoundland. They love this food and have had no issues. They are both very healthy, with shiny coats and great agility! I always recommend it when asked.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product! We rescued a pug from the shelter that had a horrible skin allergy. After talking with our Vet, he recommended a food that had Salmon as its main ingrediate. So we switched the food we were using to Taste of the Wild, and his skin condition started to improve greatly. So not only did it help him, but our other pugs as well have now got a unbelievable healthy shiny coat! Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My dogs LOVE it! I have a Dutch shepherd and a rottweiler/lab mix. They each have their own problems. The shepherd could not gain/maintain weight and rott/lab needed to loose weight and had constant stomach issues. When I switched foods both dogs weight issues all but, vanished and the stomach issues are gone. Their coats already looked good now they look amazing. I'm so happy I found this food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I get all my friends to switch I’ve been feeding this to our beagle since she was a puppy. Whenever we take her out we always get comments on how shiny her coat is. We adopted a little mix breed dog recently and started her on it. I saw a difference in her appearance almost immediately and she seemed to gain more energy. Not to mention I was told she was a picky eater but loves your dog food. Thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beau loves this! After I found out my 3 year old lab, Beau, was allergic to chicken, it was hard for me to find a dog food with no chicken in it until I found taste of the wild! I love that the first ingredient is salmon! We have had no problems with this food and his skin is clear as ever! Thanks Taste of the wild! And judging by the following picture, it's safe to say Beau loves this stuff!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from HAD TO MAKE A CHANGE I had my Golden Retriever on this food for nearly 2 years, in the last year I've noticed she was shedding a lot more and her hair was always matting easily. After doing some research I found that TOW had changed formulas in their foods and many pets were getting sick or having allergic reactions. I have since switched to another brand and my Golden is doing great again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My pup and I LOVE this food! My pup has been eating Taste of the Wild dog food since 3 months of age, when I got her. She is always receiving compliments on her shiny, soft coat and amazing physical appearence. Everything about her is healthy and I believe it is directly linked to what she eats, Taste of the Wild! 50% of the time we use the Pacific Stream but also I rotate her on all the other blends in between, so she can enjoy all the flavors and ingredients! Thank you soo much for this amazing pet food! This is Rune, my 1 year old American Bulldog! ♡

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality! We have had great success with TOTW dog foods! We own two blue pit bulls that LOVE your food! We love it also for the great quality of ingredients. Unlike other supposed high end "B*** B******" Taste of the Wild has eliminated the gas issue we once experienced while leaving them with beautiful soft coats. We recommend TOTW the everyone!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Calculating Carbohydrates Pacific Stream Canine Formula with smoked salmon has 50% carbs not 39.9% as the company states. Do the math: subtract the protein, fat, moisture and ash percentages found on the back of the bag, now subtract that from 100 and you will arrive at the actual carb content. Anything over 30% is high for allergy and yeast sufferers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it! I just switch my dog mischief to taste of the wild Pacific Stream and her skin has never looked better. She used to eat Rachel ray chicken and veggies and had very dry irritated skin. Ever since switching to TOTW she's smooth and shiny. She also gobbles it up! The food is not stinky either considering its fish!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fabulous food! I've been feeding Pacific Stream to my dane for 7 years, it's the only food he's not allergic to. Unfortunately, now that they've made the bags smaller, but didn't reduce the price, I'm going to have to find something else to feed my dog! I just feel taken advantage of....

Your Smoked Salmon recipe sounds like it would be good for our rottweiler with the possible exception of the ocean fish meal. Our dog had a sensitivity test done and has a sensitivity to white fish. Does your Smoked Salmon recipe have white fish in it?

Asked by: Akino
Hello, thanks for your question. Our ocean fish meal does contain whitefish. If you’re looking for a formula without ocean fish meal, our Sierra Mountain Canine Formula does not contain any. One of our product specialists would be happy to help determine the best formula for your Rottweiler. Feel free to give them a call at 1-800-342-4808.

Glucosamine and Chondroitin are not listed in any of your ingredients/analysis. Are they just not listed or are they not included? My dog has hip dysplasia and I'm curious if I will need to supplement with this brand.

Asked by: MAVERICK
Hello and thanks for reaching out. We’re sorry to hear about your dog’s hip dysplasia. We do not add glucosamine or chondroitin to any Taste of the Wild recipes. Some of our recipes may include naturally occurring glucosamine and chondroitin due to the ingredients in that recipe, however the levels are not measured.
